The Nashville Predators seek at least a point in seven-straight home games when they host the Detroit Red Wings (tonight at 7 p.m. CT).
Nashville (25-18-8) is 0-4-1 in their last five versus Detroit (21-21-9), including a 5-3 loss in their final trip to Joe Louis Arena on Oct. 21. Tonight, the Preds host the Red Wings during their second contest of a three-game home stand. The Red Wings played last night in Detroit, recording a 5-4 comeback win over the Islanders with a goal in the waning seconds of regulation.
The Predators held an optional morning skate on Saturday. At Friday's practice, d-man Brad Hunt skated alongside Anthony Bitetto, while Roman Josi (Injured Reserve; upper-body) was with Yannick Weber.
Prior to Saturday's morning skate, the Predators recalled goaltender Marek Mazanec and assigned Juuse Saros to Milwaukee.
