The wait for hockey is finally over as the Nashville Predators will open the 2017-18 regular season with road games in Boston and Pittsburgh.
The Preds (0-0-0) and Bruins (0-0-0) split two contests last season, with Nashville winning at home, 2-1, on Jan. 12 and Boston claiming a 4-1 victory in Beantown on March 28. Tonight (at 6 p.m. CT), the Predators will begin what may be their most-anticipated season in franchise history as they attempt to reach the Stanley Cup Final for the second consecutive campaign.
Nashville held an optional morning skate on Thursday in Boston, with Nick Bonino, Roman Josi and P.K. Subban among the participants. Below is a look at the Preds projected lineup based on Wednesday's practice:
