The Predators can clinch tonight a berth in the postseason for the seventh consecutive season.
Nashville (29-22-2) is looking for win No. 30 of the season and their seventh over the Blue Jackets, after the Predators prevailed 4-3 in overtime on Monday in Columbus. In order to secure their spot in the 2021 Stanley Cup Playoffs, the Preds must defeat the Blue Jackets and have the Tampa Bay Lightning beat the Dallas Stars in regulation.
Preds forward Colton Sissons missed Monday's game with an upper-body injury and is considered day-to-day in his recovery timeline. Sissons joins winger Viktor Arvidsson and defenseman Dante Fabbro who are also day-to-day.
The Blue Jackets (16-25-12) have gone past regulation in four consecutive games, and therefore have points in four-straight contests, but they have managed to win only once in that span.
Morning Update: Following Wednesday's morning skate, Preds Head Coach John Hynes said both Sissons and Fabbro are possibilities to play tonight in Columbus.
Nashville held a full morning skate at Nationwide Arena, with Sissons participating. Below is a projected lineup based on the session:
