Goaltender Juuse Saros has been activated from Injured Reserve.
The netminder has missed the last seven games for the Predators (12-16-1), with Pekka Rinne starting all of those contests. Saros will at least serve as the backup for Nashville tonight in Florida (at 6 p.m. CT) with Kasimir Kaskisuo assigned to the taxi squad.
The Predators are 2-2-1 on their current eight-game road trip and will conclude the excursion with two games against the Panthers and one more against the Stars.
Florida (19-5-4) has the fewest regulation losses in the NHL with five. The Panthers are 3-0-1 against the Predators so far during the 2020-21 season.
Update: The Preds have recalled defensemen Alexandre Carrier and Ben Harpur from the taxi squad. Forward Michael McCarron has been reassigned to the taxi squad.
