The Predators and Lightning will meet again this evening at AMALIE Arena (at 6 p.m. CT).
Nashville (4-4-0) scored twice in the third period on Saturday, but just missed on netting the equalizer and fell to Tampa Bay, 4-3. Goaltender Pekka Rinne made his third start of the season and lost in regulation to the Lightning for the first time in his career.
The Preds practiced on Sunday in Tampa and were joined by Calle Jarnkrok (Injured Reserve). Jarnkrok, who had been wearing a non-contact jersey, wore a normal jersey and skated fully in the session.
The Lightning (4-1-1) are undefeated at home, and on Saturday, snapped a previously extensive streak of poor performances against the Preds. Nashville had a 13-game point streak against Tampa Bay.
The Preds did not hold a morning skate on Monday; below is a projected lineup based on Saturday's game:
