Two Top 10 teams in NHL scoring face off in Toronto tonight (at 6:30 p.m. CT), as the Nashville Predators visit the Maple Leafs.
Nashville (32-12-7) pulled off a dramatic, comeback win over the New York Islanders on Monday by scoring to tie the game in the final minute and later winning in overtime. The Preds will now embark on their sixth of 11 back-to-back games, facing Toronto tonight and the Ottawa Senators on Thursday. The Predators are both 4-1-0 in the first and second halves of back-to-back games so this season.
Preds forward Filip Forsberg will serve his second game of a three-game suspension tonight. Winger Kevin Fiala was absent from Wednesday's morning skate and was replaced by defenseman Anthony Bitetto on the second line.
Toronto (31-19-5) has won five of six games, including a 7-4 dismantling of the Anaheim Ducks on Monday. The Maple Leafs will host Nashville for the teams' first meeting of the season tonight before visiting Nashville on March 22.
