The NHL's newest team, the Vegas Golden Knights, makes their inaugural visit to Nashville to face the Predators (tonight at 7 p.m. CT).
Nashville (18-7-3) plays a single home game before heading out to Western Canada for three contests. The Preds are undefeated in the month of December, going 3-0-0, with wins over Anaheim, Boston and Dallas. Prior to Friday's contest, the Preds recalled goaltenders Anders Lindback and assigned Juuse Saros to the Milwaukee Admirals (AHL). Center Ryan Johansen was also placed on Injured Reserve with an upper-body injury.
The Golden Knights (17-9-1) have surprised just about everyone in their first season, not only holding a playoff spot, but competing for first in the Pacific Division. Vegas has received 13 goals from former Preds forward James Neal and P.K. Subban's brother, Malcolm, has gone 6-2-0 in net.
