Saturday night in Smashville elevates one more notch tonight, as the Nashville Predators host the Vegas Golden Knights.
The Preds (24-19-7) won back-to-back stops in a two-game road trip to Washington and New Jersey earlier this week. The four points gained have Nashville sitting three points out of the final playoff spot with three games in hand. The Golden Knights (26-20-7) hold the Western Conference's first Wild Card spot and are four points up on the Predators (Vegas has played three additional games).
Colton Sissons returned to the Preds lineup on Thursday after an 11-game absence. Calle Jarnkrok missed the contest due to illness. He was absent again for Nashville's full morning skate on Saturday.
The Golden Knights returned from their bye week last night with a 4-3 victory in Carolina. Malcolm Subban made 22 saves and earned the win in net.
