The 2022-23 season came to an end for the Nashville Predators this week, and what an eventful week it was.
Here's everything you missed in SMASHVILLE and a look at what's to come:

Supporting Covenant School

The Nashville Predators Foundation empowered by SmileDirectClub auctioned off autographed Predators jerseys with a Covenant School patch during the final two home games on April 13 and 14. They were able to raise over $34,000 with proceeds benefiting the Caring for Covenant Fund, Daystar Counseling Ministries and our first responders.
The Predators, the Preds Foundation and Tennessee Lottery also brought 200 teachers and their families to the game on April 13 against the Minnesota Wild to be recognized and to send support to the teaching community following the tragedy at the Covenant School. Fans were invited to write cards to local teachers that will be delivered during Teachers Appreciation Week on May 8-12.

Saros for Vezina

Take a look at why Juuse Saros deserves a spot as a Vezina Trophy finalist this summer at the 2023 NHL Awards, hosted right here in Music City.
Saros holds strong in several categories. First off, he had 63 starts during the 2022-23 season, one behind Winnipeg's Connor Hellebuyck for the most in the NHL. He is tied for sixth in save percentage at .919, and is seventh in wins with 33, making him the third goaltender in Predators history to record consecutive 30-win seasons. His League-leading 1,928 saves are 100 more than second-place Hellebuyck (1,807), and he's faced 116 more shots than the next-closest goaltender. On the penalty kill, Saros paces the NHL in saves with 297 and owns an .895 save percentage, the second-highest in the League.
Add it all up, and not only is it one of the finest seasons by a goaltender in Predators history, but worthy of Saros seeing his name as a Vezina Trophy finalist for the second consecutive campaign.

Glass for Masterton

Cody Glass was nominated for the Bill Masterton Memorial Trophy by the Nashville Chapter of the Professional Hockey Writers' Association.
Glass earned the nomination thanks to his demonstration of "perseverance, sportsmanship and dedication to hockey" that helped him achieve success at the NHL level in the face of adversity. He has established career highs in goals (14), assists (21) and points (35) this season.
The Masterton Trophy winner is selected in a poll of all chapters of the PHWA at the end of the regular season. A grant from the PHWA is awarded annually to the Bill Masterton Scholarship Fund, based in Bloomington, Minn., in the winner's name.
