SHOTS, SHOTS, SHOTS- New York fired 41 shots on goal in the loss, their most in a game since April 3, 2022 against Philadelphia. Last year, the Blueshirts collected 40-plus shots on four occasions. Through three games, the Rangers have accumulated 115 shots on goal (39, 35, 41), their second most (1970-71 - 121) through the first three games of a season since shots first were tracked in 1959-60.

  • Artemi Panarin collected an assist on Dryden Hunt's goal, his fifth helper of the young season. The last Rangers skaters before Panarin to record five-plus assists through the team's first three games of a season were Mark Messier and Brian Leetch in 1992-93. Panarin's six points (1G-5A) lead the NHL. In 19 career games against the Jets, Panarin has notched seven goals and 17 assists for 24 points.
    - Jacob Trouba skated in his 600th career NHL game, against the team he was drafted by and played the first 408 games of his career with. Trouba becomes the fifth member of the 2012 NHL Draft class to reach the plateau, joining Morgan Rielly (656 GP), Alex Galchenyuk (643 GP), Tom Wilson (647 GP) and Cody Ceci (628 GP). Trouba skated 23:05, the second most on the Rangers tonight behind Adam Fox (23:43).
    -Vincent Trocheck tallied his second assist with the Rangers and has three points in his last two games (1G-2A). He has 10 points (6G-4A) in 13 games against Winnipeg in his career.
    - Dryden Hunt scored his first goal of the season and 13th of his career. Tonight was Hunt's fifth career game against Winnipeg and first career goal/point against the team.
    - Jaroslav Halak made his debut with the Rangers in net, his seventh team he has appeared in a game with over his 17-year career.
