New York Rangers President and General Manager Chris Drury announced today that the team has agreed to terms with forward Anton Blidh on a two-year contract extension.

Blidh, 28, skated in 17 regular season games for the Hartford Wolf Pack of the American Hockey League (AHL) in 2022-23 after being acquired by the organization on March 3, recording seven goals and four assists for 11 points. In the 2023 Calder Cup Playoffs, he posted seven points (2G-5A) in nine games, ranking third on the team in points and assists. Prior to the trade, he split time between the Colorado Avalanche (14 GP) and Colorado Eagles (36 GP) of the AHL.

The Molnlycke, Sweden native has skated in 84 career NHL games split between the Avalanche and Boston Bruins, notching four goals and eight assists for 12 points. The 6-1, 197-pound forward has registered 111 points (59G-52A) in 331 career AHL games across parts of seven seasons between the Wolf Pack, Eagles and Providence Bruins. He has also added 12 points (6G-6A) in 34 playoff games.

Blidh was originally selected by the Bruins in the sixth round, 180th overall, of the 2013 NHL Draft.
