GOALS GALORE - For the first time in franchise history, the Rangers have scored at least four goals in each of the first six games of a season. New York is the fourth team in the NHL since 1990-91 to notch the feat. The Blueshirts’ 31 goals are the second most in the NHL and the most for an NHL team through their first six games since the Devils and Kings in 1993-94. Tonight was their first seven-goal effort since March 30 at Arizona (8).
IT TAKES EVERYONE - In the win, the Rangers had six different goal scorers and 12 unique point getters. On the year, an NHL-high 14 players have scored a goal for New York and 18 different players have notched a point.
- Filip Chytil scored twice and added an assist for his second career three-point game (Oct. 21 at SEA) and fifth career multi-goal game.
- Kaapo Kakko tallied his first career three-point game (1G-2A) in the win.
- Braden Schneider notched a goal and an assist for his fifth career multi-point game and first since Oct. 26, 2023 at Edmonton.
- Artemi Panarin extended his season-opening point streak to six games (6G-7A). His 13 points lead the NHL.
- Reilly Smith collected multiple points (1G-1A) for a second consecutive game. Smith has five points (2G-3A) in his most recent four games.
- Mika Zibanejad opened the scoring with his second goal of the season. He has six points (2G-4A) in his last four games.
- K’Andre Miller skated in his 300th career NHL game tonight.
- Ryan Lindgren made his season debut, skating 17:20.
