Goaltender Igor Shesterkin stopped all 20 shots he faced for SKA Saint Petersburg against Medvescak Thursday for his KHL-leading sixth shutout of the regular season.
Shesterkin is 11-0-0 with a 1.07 GAA and a .958 save percentage with five shutouts in his last 12 appearances. His .943 overall save percentage is third in the KHL and his 1.46 GAA this season is fourth.

The Rangers' strong goaltending extended to North America on Thursday with 2015 draft pick Adam Huska making 47 saves on 49 shots in UConn's 4-2 win over Notre Dame. Huksa has a .938 save percentage - eighth in the NCAA - in three games thus far with the Huskies this season, and has made at least 36 saves in each of his appearances.
Over in the Ontario Hockey League, Sean Day picked up two assists and led all skaters with five shots on goal and was a plus-2 in Windsor's 5-2 victory against Sault Ste. Marie Thursday night. The 2016 third-round pick has at least a point in six of his eight games this season between Windsor and Mississauga, totaling four goals and four assists. The 18-year-old is one of eight OHL defensemen averaging at least 1.00 points per game this year.
Fellow Rangers prospect Tim Gettinger picked up a goal in defeat for the Greyhounds, giving him points in his last two games (two goals, one assist) and in three of his last five contests (three goals, one assist).
Lastly in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League, Gabriel Fontaine picked up a goal and two assists in Rouyn-Noranda's 6-2 win over Victoriaville. Fontaine has a point in five of his six games this season, including three multi-point performances. The 2016 sixth-round pick has a goal in four of his six games and has nine points (five goals, four assists) and a plus-four rating overall.
