Morrison, the Rangers' 2015 fourth-round pick, leads the Cougars with 10 goals and 17 assists for 27 points in 26 games this season, ahead of his 62 points in 72-game pace from a year ago.
Despite the loss, Ronning had a goal and an assist of his own for the Giants. The 2016 seventh-round selection is third on the Giants in scoring with 10 goals and 12 assists for 22 points in 25 games.
