By the Numbers will highlight the on-ice accomplishments in the 2017-18 season for the Detroit Red Wings' prospects. Twice a week during the offseason, By the Numbers will profile a different player in the system, focusing on his statistical highs. This week we focus on forward Christoffer Ehn.

It might be easy to forget that Christoffer Ehn remains in the Detroit Red Wings system as he has remained in Sweden since he was drafted in the 2014 draft.
But the Wings saw enough of Ehn that they signed him to a three-year entry level contract on April 20, 2017.
Ehn appeared ready to make his Grand Rapids Griffins debut when the Wings assigned him to Grand Rapids on April 3 but illness prevented Ehn from playing and he returned to Sweden.
Now 22 years old, Ehn is a 6-foot-3, 181-pound center who can also play wing.
Ehn is not at Detroit's development camp this week.
106 -- The Wings selected Ehn in the fourth round, 106th overall, in the 2014 NHL Entry Draft. That was the same draft in which they took Dylan Larkin in the first round, 15th overall, and Dominic Turgeon in the third round, 63rd overall. The Wings did not have a second-round pick.
7 -- Known more for his defensive attributes, Ehn scored seven goals this past season for Frolunda HC in the Swedish Hockey League, three more than he scored for Frolunda HC last season. It is the same number of goals that Rasmus Dahlin, the first overall pick in the 2018 draft, scored for Frolunda.
10 -- Ehn had 10 assists for Frolunda HC after recording nine last season.
17 -- Ehn's 17 points were the most he has recorded in a Swedish Hockey League season, besting the 13 he had during the 2016-17 season. Ehn had 36 points in 40 games for Frolunda HC J20 "C" of the SuperElit League in 2014-15.
50 -- The big forward played in 50 games for Frolunda HC this past season, the second-most games he has played in a single season. Last season he played in a career-high 52.
24 -- Ehn had 24 penalty minutes in 50 games, 14 more than he recorded in 52 games last season.
1 -- In eight playoff games, Ehn recorded one goal. As a native of Skara, Sweden, if he ever plays in the NHL, he would be the first from Skara to do so. Skara is approximately 81 miles northeast of Gothenburg.
Quotable: "Christoffer had an up and down season in Frölunda last year. Didn't get off to the best start but had a much better second half and was playing his best hockey when he came over to GR to join us for the playoffs. Unfortunately he was diagnosed with mono the day he got here and was unable to play any games. He was extremely frustrated by that and has been working hard this offseason to get his conditioning back up to its normal elite level." -- Shawn Horcoff, Red Wings director of player development
