Brodziak has not played for the Oilers this season and is currently on long-term injured reserve. The 35-year-old skated in 917 NHL games from 2005-19 over two stints with the Oilers, as well as the Minnesota Wild and St. Louis Blues, totaling 296 points (129-167-296) and 462 penalty minutes. Brodziak also appeared in 173 American Hockey League games with the Edmonton Road Runners, Iowa Stars and Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins from 2004-07, notching 119 points (42-77-119) and 134 penalty minutes. A native of St. Paul, Alberta, Brodziak was originally a seventh-round pick (214th overall) of Edmonton in the 2003 NHL Entry Draft and spent his major-junior career with the Western Hockey League's Moose Jaw Warriors (1999-04), posting 185 points (81-104-185) in 273 games.
