Three players who suited up for the Little Caesars AAA Hockey Club 19U Girls program this season shined on the international stage.
Forwards Cassandra Hall, Kirsten Simms and Elyssa Biederman all represented the United States as part of the 2022 IIHF U18 Women's World Championship, which was held in Madison, Wis., from June 6-13.
Hall finished the tournament with four points on two goals and two assists in five games, including a plus-4 rating.
Simms totaled five helpers and a plus-4 rating while Biederman had one goal and a plus-2 rating. Both appeared in five contests
The U.S. finished with a 3-0-0 preliminary-round record (nine points), good for first in Group A. On Sunday, the Americans rallied to defeat Sweden, 3-2, to advance to Monday's gold-medal game against Canada. In the championship game, Canada defeated the U.S., 3-2.
