DETROIT -- The Detroit Red Wings will thank the Hockeytown faithful for their remarkable support this season when the club hosts the Dallas Stars for Fan Appreciation Night, presented by Coca-Cola and Meijer, on Monday at Little Caesars Arena.

Monday's matchup also marks the Red Wings' final home game of the 2022-23 campaign. Puck drop between Detroit (35-34-10; 80 points) and Dallas (44-21-14; 102 points) is set for 7 p.m., with broadcast coverage on Bally Sports Detroit and the Red Wings Radio Network (97.1 The Ticket in Detroit).
Starting at 5 p.m. on the Via concourse, there will be face painters, caricature artists, interactive games, special alumni appearances, jersey and ticket giveaways and more family-friendly activities to celebrate the best fans in hockey. The first 10,000 fans in attendance will also receive a Red Wings-themed beach towel, courtesy of Meijer.
"The beauty about Hockeytown and our fanbase is they're real fans," Red Wings head coach Derek Lalonde said. "They have a true feel of what's going on. I think they appreciate how the guys have battled this year. They're seeing flashes of it, and I think it's gotten them excited, too. They give us a jump."

David Perron, who spoke to the media following Saturday's 5-1 loss to the Pittsburgh Penguins, said Detroit isn't going to just go through the motions during the final week of the season.
"These games are important for us to keep playing the right way," Perron said. "I know it's 5-1, but some of the stuff is still at play out there for us. That's something you can look back when we head to Training Camp in Traverse City next year. Those are details that are gonna stay with us and the young guys."
Working hard and prioritizing good habits are two key components of the culture that has been established by the Red Wings this year. And according to Perron, that will guide the club down the final stretch and into the offseason.
"I think it's only gonna help the young guys or whoever is gonna join our group over the summer," Perron said. "It's only gonna help them jell quicker. I just feel like we've gotten better in a lot of aspects of our game. That's something I think he (Lalonde) should be proud of as a first-year head coach."
The Stars have won five of their past six games following a 2-1 shootout victory over the Vegas Golden Knights on Saturday. Jason Robertson (45-58-103) paces Dallas in all three primary scoring categories, while Joe Pavelski (26-49-75) has seven points in his last seven games.

Goalie Jake Oettinger has carried the workload between the pipes for the Stars this season and is 35-11-11 with a 2.42 goals-against average and .918 save percentage.
This is the second and final meeting between Detroit and Dallas this season. The Stars edged the Red Wings, 3-2, in overtime at American Airlines Center on Dec. 10.
