Dennis Cholowski selected by Seattle Kraken in 2021 NHL Expansion Draft

Defenseman was Detroit's 20th overall selection in 2016 NHL Entry Draft

DETROIT --Defenseman Dennis Cholowski was selected by the Seattle Kraken in the 2021 National Hockey League Expansion Draft on Wednesday night.

Cholowski, 23, was drafted 20th overall by the Red Wings in the 2016 NHL Entry Draft. He skated in 104 games in Detroit, debuting in the 2018-19 season. The native of British Columbia tallied 27 points with 10 goals and 17 assists.
The Kraken will play their inaugural season in the NHL this fall, becoming the League's 32nd member. The Expansion Draft requires they select 14 forwards, nine defensemen and three goalies.
