DETROIT -- This fall, the Detroit Red Wings are excited to welcome thousands of fans back to Little Caesars Arena for the first time in 18 months.
And while Red Wings fans can finally enjoy the electric atmosphere of a raucous crowd once again, the Hockeytown faithful will also have the opportunity to absorb a plethora of new entertaining and informative multimedia content, which will allow fans to remain as close to the team as possible.

In addition to favorite returning segments like The Winged Wheel, Coffee with Carley, Wings Things and The Forecheck, Red Wings TV is unveiling new series like Summer Wings, Waiting in the Wings, This is Hockeytown and much, much more.
"We are excited beyond words to welcome the people of Hockeytown back to Little Caesars Arena for the 2021-22 season," said Red Wings vice president of entertainment services and broadcasting Pete Skorich. "We know our passionate fanbase has an insatiable appetite for Red Wings content, and these year-long series will provide behind-the-scenes coverage for our dedicated fans to better get to know our current roster, our players of tomorrow and our legendary alumni."

Waiting in the Wings

This new series highlights a different Red Wings prospect each month, providing updates, interviews and behind-the-scenes insights on their journey to Detroit.
The first episode of Waiting of the Wings focused on 2020 No. 4 overall pick Lucas Raymond, who was Detroit's highest pick since Keith Primeau in 1990. The episode includes interviews with Red Wings director of player development Shawn Horcoff, The Athletic's senior NHL prospect writer Corey Pronman and an exclusive interview with Raymond, himself.
Future episodes of Waiting in the Wings will feature 2019 No. 6 overall pick Moritz Seider on Sept. 20, followed by 2015 fifth-round pick Chase Pearson on Oct. 26 and 2018 second-round pick Jonatan Berggren on Nov. 23.

This is Hockeytown

This nostalgic bi-monthly series features an in-depth look at impactful moments in Red Wings history.
The first episode of This is Hockeytown focuses on Hockey Hall of Famer Larry Murphy, who was traded to the Red Wings during the 1996-97 season. The defenseman discusses the unexpected trade from the Toronto Maple Leafs and how he went on to help Detroit win back-to-back Stanley Cup championships in 1997 and 1998.

Summer Wings Presented by Athletico

This series takes fans behind the scenes with Red Wings players, detailing how each player spends his summer and prepares for the upcoming NHL season.
The first episode of Summer Wings, presented by Athletico, features new Red Wings goalie Alex Nedeljkovic, who Detroit acquired in a trade with the Carolina Hurricanes on July 22. The debut episode, which will be available on Thursday, August 26, includes Nedeljkovic's move from Carolina to Detroit and more behind-the-scenes content.
The second Summer Wings episode featuring defenseman Danny DeKeyser will be available on Thursday, Sept. 2.

Welcome to Hockeytown

This in-season series will feature Red Wings Learn, Play Score program ambassador Jason McCrimmon as he invites a youth hockey participant and his or her family to their very first Wings game.
Rooted in a commitment to building confidence and character, promoting positive values and imparting enduring life skills, the Learn, Play, Score program provides thousands of children in Detroit the opportunity to play hockey.
McCrimmon has been the ambassador of this pioneering program since its inception in February 2020, and now he's excited to help his proteges and their families experience professional hockey in person for the first time.
This series will debut in early November.

Up Close

This bi-monthly series focuses on current Red Wings players and prospects, going behind the scenes to navigate their path to Detroit and find out what it means to them to be part of such a historic Original Six franchise.
The first episode of Up Close will premiere on Sept. 13, focusing on 21-year-old defenseman prospect Jared McIsaac, who's endured back-to-back season-ending shoulder injuries as he fights to regain his form and earn a spot on the Red Wings' roster.

The Crew, Presented by Carhartt

This unique series gives a glimpse into the life of fan-favorite building operations manager Al Sobotka and his incredible crew as they prepare for games and events at Little Caesars Arena.
The series will provide behind-the-scenes access to Sobotka's team as they meticulously manage the ice, transition the arena floor between hockey, basketball and events and work all hours of the day while paying dedicated attention to detail on a nightly basis.
This series will debut on Sept. 3.
