Percy inked to AHL deal

Rochester Americans General Manager Randy Sexton announced today that the team has signed defenseman Stuart Percy to an American Hockey League contract for the remainder of the 2017-18 season.
Percy, a fifth-year pro, joined the Amerks on a Professional Tryout on Oct. 19 and has since recorded 17 points (3+14) in 23 games this season. His 17 points are currently tied for the most among Rochester defensemen and place him third overall on the team in scoring.
A native of Oakville, Ontario, Percy has amassed 89 points (14+75) in 237 career AHL appearances with Rochester, Wilkes-Barre/Scranton and Toronto. He has also recorded three assists in 12 NHL contests for the Toronto Maple Leafs, who selected the 24-year-old defensemen in the first round (25th overall) of the 2011 NHL Entry Draft.
Prior to turning pro, the 6-foot-1, 193-pound blueliner played four seasons with Mississauga of the Ontario Hockey League, where he totaled 121 points (25+96) in 218 games.

Minter named VP of Business Operations

Rob Minter has been named the team's Vice President of Business Operations. In his new role, Minter will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day business-related activities of the Amerks organization.
"I'm tremendously excited to join such a longstanding and historic organization like the Rochester Americans," said Minter. "I look forward to getting to know our loyal season ticket holders, corporate partners and the great hockey fans we have in the city of Rochester."
Minter joins the Amerks following three years as the Director of Premium Seating for the NFL's New Orleans Saints and NBA's New Orleans Pelicans. During his tenure in New Orleans, Minter organized and managed a sales staff focused on the sale and retention of premium products for both franchises.
