Quinn leads the charge as Amerks play pair of home games this week

The Rochester Americans completed a weekend sweep of the Laval Rocket to improve to 4-2-0 on the season.
Jack Quinn scored his fifth goal of the season and added an assist Saturday afternoon to cap off a terrific month of October. Quinn was named the AHL's Rookie of the Month on Monday. The 20-year-old forward has 10 points in six games.

Oskari Laaksonen delivered the game-winner with 1:13 remaining in overtime to cap a thrilling 6-5 road win for Rochester over Laval. The third period was a wild back-and-forth affair that saw the teams combine for six goals.

With the win, the Amerks closed out their four-game road swing with six of a possible eight points to move up the AHL's North Division standings.

A look at the week ahead

The Amerks return home to The Blue Cross Arena for a brief two-game homestand beginning on Wednesday in a rematch against the Belleville Senators. Rochester fell to Belleville 7-3 on the road last week.
The 7:05 p.m. matchup will be the second of eight scheduled meetings between the two teams this season and will be carried live on The Sports Leader 95.7 FM/950 AM ESPN Rochester as well as AHLTV.
Rochester will host Toronto on Friday at 7:05 p.m.
