Anders Bjork scored Buffalo's other goal. Rasmus Dahlin (0+2), Peyton Krebs (0+2) and Jeff Skinner (0+2) recorded a pair of assists each.
Dustin Tokarski made 32 saves.
Kevin Hayes, Noah Cates and Zack MacEwen were the Flyers' goal scorers, while Felix Sandstrom stopped 35 saves.
Buffalo's power play finished 2-for-2 and the penalty kill was also a perfect 2-for-2.
The Sabres swept the season series 3-0 and have earned at least a point against the Flyers in seven straight games for the first time in franchise history.

How it happened

The Sabres, however, had a quick response on Sunday. Olofsson, from his familiar spot in the right faceoff circle, one-timed a shot on the power play to tie the game at the 8:36 mark.

BUF@PHI: Bjork takes stretch pass, goes short side

Bjork scored in transition on a breakaway with 2:26 left in the first period to give Buffalo the lead when Rasmus Dahlin sent him in alone with a perfect pass.
Philadelphia had a strong start to the second period with Cates getting credit for a goal 1:20 into the middle frame.

Olofsson tallied again from the same spot when he got just enough of a one-timer to put the Sabres ahead 9:43 into the period with one second left on a power-play opportunity.
The only other time he's recorded multiple power-play goals in a single game was when he potted a pair on October 5, 2019 against New Jersey.
The Sabres went up by two when Thompson cut in from the slot with 5:38 left in the second for his 35th goal of the season.
Thompson is just the fifth different Sabre to record at least 35 goals for Buffalo since 2006-07.
MacEwan potted a rebound with 5:53 left in regulation to make it 4-3.

BUF@PHI: Thompson scores empty netter in 3rd period

Buffalo outshot the Flyers 16-10 in the third period and Thompson capped off the scoring with an empty net goal with 31.7 seconds remaining.

Worthy of a mention

With two primary assists, Dahlin hit the 50-point mark for the first time in his career. The last Sabre to record at least 50 points in a season was Gary Galley (10+44) in 1995-96.
He also became the seventh different defenseman in franchise history to record 50 points.
