At The Final Horn: Sabres 0 - Penguins 4

Dustin Tokarski made 27 saves in the Buffalo Sabres' 4-0 loss to the Pittsburgh Penguins on Thursday at PPG Paints Arena.
Buffalo is now 0-14-2 over the last 16 games and they've been shut out seven times this season.
General manager Kevyn Adams served as head coach because interim head coach Don Granato and interim assistant coach Matt Ellis were unavailable for the game. In accordance with NHL COVID-19 protocols, Granato and Ellis are self-quarantining.
Radim Zohorna opened the scoring for Pittsburgh in his first NHL game. Jared McCann scored twice - both on the power play - and Jake Guentzel also tallied.
Casey DeSmith stopped all 36 Sabres shots he faced. His shutout streak against the Sabres is now at 179:52.
With three assists, Sidney Crosby reached 1,300 career points.
The Sabres went 0-for-4 with the man advantage and are 0-for-their-last-28. Buffalo's last power-play goal came on February 25. Buffalo finished 2-for-4 on the penalty kill.

What happened

Anthony Angello pulled the puck out of the left-wing corner and fed Zohorna in the slot where he buried a quick shot with 2:39 remaining in the first period for his first NHL goal.
The Penguins went up 2-0 when McCann ripped home a shot 1:27 into the second period.
Off a faceoff, McCann stepped into a shot from the top of the right faceoff circle to make it 3-0 at the 8:56 mark of the third period.
Buffalo had a goal called back with 5:57 remaining. Jeff Skinner stepped into the zone just moments before Dylan Cozens brought the puck in over the Penguins blue line. On the play, Cozens drew a penalty as he cut in on goal and dropped the puck into the slot where Victor Olofsson finished the play.
After the referee signaled goal, the Penguins used their challenge and upon review, the officials ruled that the play was offside. Buffalo was unsuccessful on the ensuing man advantage.
Guentzel then scored an empty-net goal with 1:06 left to cap off the scoring.

Worth mentioning

Hours before the game, the Sabres had to reassemble their coaching staff following the news that Granato and Ellis would have to self-quarantine and would be unavailable for the game.
Adams said that neither Granato nor Ellis have experienced symptoms. Rochester Americans coach Seth Appert joined Adams and interim assistant coach Dan Girardi behind the bench for the second period.
Adams served as an assistant coach on Lindy Ruff's staff with the Sabres during the 2011-12 and 2012-13 seasons. He was a development coach with the organization from 2009 to 2011.
Ten Sabres are currently unavaiable for game action due to injury or illness.
