Welcome to the Playoffs | Watch Parties, Rally Towels, and more ways to get involved this postseason

Finally, the Stanley Cup Playoffs are back in Buffalo. It’s time to celebrate.

We’re bringing back old traditions and starting some new ones with help from our presenting playoff partners: KeyBank, Northtown Automotive, Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center, and Seneca Resorts & Casinos.

Here’s a rundown of what will be happening at KeyBank Center and around Western New York in the coming weeks. Stay tuned for more playoff programming, fan sweepstakes and more!

Sabrehood Block Party presented by Northtown Automotive

We’re the city that made Party in the Plaza famous. Let’s take it up a notch.

We’ll be hosting a Sabrehood Block Party for every playoff home game, making sure the playoff atmosphere spills out of the arena. Each Block Party will include:

• Pregame Party in the Plaza (Opens 3 hours prior to puck drop): Fans can enjoy music, photo opportunities, alumni appearances, food and drink, and activities in Ticketmaster Alumni Plaza.

• Watch Party at Canalside (Opens 2 hours prior to puck drop): To ensure room for the entire Sabrehood, playoff watch parties will be held at Canalside featuring a large screen showing the game along with on-stage entertainment, food and beer trucks and more! Watch parties will be free and open to the public. Fans who plan to attend are encouraged to RSVP here.

Block Party FAQs:

Q: Are chairs permitted?

A:  No. For the safety of all guests and staff, chairs are not permitted.  

Q: Can we bring food and drink to the watch party?

A: No.  No outside food or drink is permitted, but Canalside will have a lineup of food trucks and beverage stations (alcoholic and non-alcoholic) for guests to enjoy.

Q: How do we get in?  Where do we park?

A:  There will be two (2) security entrances, one at the corner of Marine Drive and Hanover Street, and the other at the corner of Main and Perry Street (across from the Sabres Store).  There are surface lots and street parking to the north and west of Canalside.  Guests are also highly encouraged to take the NFTA metro-rail, which drops off right at Canalside.  

Q: Do I need a ticket?  Is re-entry allowed?  

A: A ticket is NOT needed to attend.  This is a free, public event.  Guests may enter and leave, but when re-entering Canalside must go through the security checkpoint again. Guests are encouraged to RSVP here to let us know you are coming

Q:  Is the Watch Party rain or shine?

A:  Yes.  Outside of extreme inclement weather (extreme wind / lightning), the watch party will proceed as scheduled. Guests are encouraged to bring rain jackets/ponchos as umbrellas are not permitted.

Rally Towel Giveaways presented by KeyBank

Nothing says “playoffs” like a sea of 19,070 rally towels waving in unison.

We’ll be giving away commemorative rally towels for EVERY playoff home game. Each towel will feature a unique slogan, which will be unveiled in the days before each game.

Rally the Sabrehood: Playoff Yard Sign Pickup Event presented by Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center

We teamed up with Roswell Park to hand out playoff yard signs at Tops locations on April 17. Check out scenes from the event in the video below.

Away Game Watch Parties presented by Seneca Resorts & Casinos
