The Buffalo Sabres have acquired a fourth-round pick in the 2024 NHL Draft from the Philadelphia Flyers in exchange for defenseman Erik Johnson, the team announced Friday.
The Sabres now have eight draft picks in 2024, including two selections in each of the fourth and seventh rounds. The team previously acquired a conditional seventh-round pick from the Florida Panthers in exchange for forward Kyle Okposo on Friday.
Johnson, 35, signed a one-year deal with the Sabres in July and had three goals in 50 games while averaging 13:48 in ice time, including a team-high 3:03 on the penalty kill.
