The Buffalo Sabres face the Detroit Red Wings tonight at KeyBank Center as the team's four-game homestand continues.
Faceoff is at 7 p.m. on MSG and WGR 550 with pregame coverage on MSG beginning at 6:30. Tickets are on sale now.

Olofsson's two-goal game lifts Sabres in OT

The Sabres wrapped up their road trip with a 3-1-0 record and then snapped a two-game skid with an overtime win on Saturday against Chicago.
Tage Thompson scored twice in the third period Saturday to erase a two-goal deficit and then Victor Olofsson scored his second goal of the game 36 seconds into overtime to give Buffalo the extra point.
Olofsson has leads the NHL with three multi-goal games this season.
Thompson has notched six points (3+3) in his last six games and Jeff Skinner enters tonight's game with four points (1+3) in his last four contests.
The Sabres played Saturday's game without three defensemen who made the opening night roster. Mattias Samuelsson, Henri Jokiharju and Ilya Lyubushkin are all out with injuries.

The games ahead

Buffalo's homestand will conclude on Wednesday against the Pittburgh Penguins. Faceoff is at 7:30 p.m. on TNT.
The team will then head south for a pair of back-to-back games to wrap up the week.
The Sabres will take on Carolina on Thursday on ESPN+ and then Tampa Bay on Saturday. A subscription to ESPN+ or Hulu is required to stream Thursday's game.

What else to watch for this week

20221020 Sabres Reverse Retro Mediawall

The team will debut its new Reverse Retro jerseys on Wednesday. The Penguins will also be wearing their Reverse Retros.
The Sabres' jerseys are a blue and gold version of the black and red jerseys the team wore from 1996 until 2006. It marks the first time Buffalo will wear uniform with that familiar white bison head on the crest since the 2006 Eastern Conference Finals.
Buffalo will wear the Reverse Retro jerseys eight times.
The team will debut a black and red third jersey against St. Louis on November 23. For more details on that uniform, click here.
