Buffalo Sabres alternate captain Kyle Okposo penned an end-of-season letter to fans, revisiting some of the highlights from the 2021-22 season and the growth he witnessed on and off the ice.

Okposo previously wrote to fans following the team's opening night victory in October. The Sabres went on to have a season filled with marquee wins and tangible growth in the standings, finishing with a 16-9-3 record in March and April.
Okposo, meanwhile, had his most productive on-ice season as a member of the Sabres with 21 goals and 45 points while also guiding a young team as alternate captain alongside fellow veteran Zemgus Girgensons.
He was voted by fans as the recipient of the Rick Martin Memorial Award, awarded to the player who best demonstrates on-ice excellence, resiliency, and dedication to the community.

"I can't highlight enough Kyle Okposo and what he means to this group," Sabres general manager Kevyn Adams said after the season. "From the exit meetings to during the season, every day, the conversations I'd have with him or other people just to say what he's done and what he means to this group."
