The Buffalo Sabres have acquired forward Jordan Greenway from the Minnesota Wild in exchange for a second-round pick in the 2023 NHL Draft (via Vegas) and a fifth-round pick in 2024.
Greenway, 26, has seven points (2+5) in 42 games this season. The 6-foot-6, 231-pound forward is signed through the 2024-25 season at an average annual value of $3 million.

The trade reunites Greenway with Sabres coach Don Granato, who previously coached Greenway with the U.S. National Team Development Program. They won a gold medal together at the 2015 IIHF U-18 World Championship with a roster that also included current Sabres center Tage Thompson.
The Wild drafted Greenway during the second round in 2015. He has 119 points (38+81) in 317 career games spanning six seasons.
The NHL trade deadline is Friday at 3 p.m.
