Native American Heritage Night announcement

The Buffalo Sabres are proud to partner with Seneca Resorts and Casinos to host Native American Heritage Night when the team hosts the Washington Capitals on Saturday, December 11.
The night will support Native American groups in Western New York while honoring their history in the area. Renowned artist Carson Waterman was commissioned to create original artwork of the Sabres logo using Native American symbols and colors.

As part of the organization's commitment to Western New York's Native American community, the Sabres are donating over 200 tickets to youth from the Seneca Nation of Indians' Cattaraugus Community Center and Native American Community Services.
The commitment extends to engaging Native American youth with the game of hockey. The team recent recently partnered with the Seneca Nation's Cattaraugus Community Center to host the first-ever indigenous Learn to Play hockey program run by an NHL team in the United States.
The Sabres also teamed up with the Buffalo Bills and Buffalo Bandits to hold One Buffalo Sports Day at the Allegany Community Center in partnership with the Seneca Gaming Corporation, where 100 Seneca youth enjoyed a day of learning football, hockey, and lacrosse.
