Sabres recall Asplund from taxi squad

The Buffalo Sabres recalled forward Rasmus Asplund from the taxi squad prior to their game in Philadelphia on Tuesday night.

Asplund, 23, appeared in 29 games with the Sabres as a rookie last season. He tallied 19 points (3+16) in 33 AHL contests with Rochester.
Buffalo did not hold a morning skate Tuesday. Coverage of the game in Philadelphia begins at 6:30 p.m. on MSG with puck drop set for 7.
