The Buffalo Sabres have signed forward Brett Murray to a one-year, two-way contract worth $775,000, the team announced Friday.
Murray played in all but one regular-season contest for the Rochester Americans in 2022-23, recording 49 points (23+26) in 71 games. The Bolton, Ontario native ranked second on the team in goals scored (23) and third in points (49).
During Rochester's 2023 Calder Cup run, he tallied four goals and six assists in 14 playoff games.
Murray, 24, has appeared in 21 NHL games for the Sabres since being drafted by Buffalo in the fourth round of the 2016 NHL Draft (99th overall).
In four seasons with the Amerks, the left winger has compiled 125 points (56+69).
