The Buffalo Sabres and Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center are once again partnering to host Hockey Fights Cancer Night at KeyBank Center on Friday, Nov. 10 against the Minnesota Wild.

The night is held annually as part of an NHL-wide initiative to raise money and awareness toward cancer research. Tickets are available starting at $29.

Here’s what you can expect this year.

HFC scarf giveaway

All fans in attendance will have a commemorative Hockey Fights Cancer scarf, co-branded with the Sabres and Roswell Park logos, waiting on their seat when they arrive for the game.

Share who you fight for

Every fan will also receive an “I Fight For …” placard with a space to write the name of someone who has been affected by cancer. The crowd will be asked to raise their placards in unison during the game.

Guests of honor

Our Hockey Fights Cancer ceremony will focus on the story of Sophia LaBorde, who was diagnosed with a rare form of liver cancer in 2022 at age 12 and remains in treatment after enduring several rounds of chemotherapy and having her tumor surgically removed. Sophia will be on the ice for a ceremonial puck drop.

Fans are encouraged to be in their seats early for the ceremony.

50/50 jackpot

The Sabres Foundation 50/50 raffle will have a guaranteed jackpot of $50,000 with proceeds benefitting Roswell Park. Entrants will also have a chance to win six additional prizes:

  • A team-signed stick
  • A team-signed jersey
  • An autographed Owen Power jersey
  • A suite to a 2023-24 Sabres home game
  • Four tickets to the Gold Ring Partners Lounge

Fans who are not at the game can participate in the raffle by entering at Sabres.com/5050.

Autographed helmet surprise

Helmets featuring autographs from surprise Sabres players will be available for $50 in the 100-Level and 200-Level concourses (while supplies last). Fans watching the broadcast on MSG will also have an opportunity to purchase. Proceeds will benefit Roswell Park.
