Sabres sign Comrie to 2-year contract

Goaltender had a .920 save percentage in 19 games last season

The Buffalo Sabres have signed goaltender Eric Comrie to a two-year contract with an average annual value of $1.8 million, the team announced Wednesday.

Comrie, 27, went 16-10-5 with a .920 save percentage in 19 games with the Winnipeg Jets last season. His 8.78 goals saved above average at 5-on-5 ranked 11th in the NHL, according to Natural Stat Trick. His high-danger save percentage of .862 at 5-on-5 ranked 13th (min. 100 minutes played).
Comrie has a career save percentage of .909 in 28 games spanning six seasons with Winnipeg, Detroit, and New Jersey.
