The Buffalo Sabres are excited to host a Dyngus Day Celebration, presented by Bud Light, on Tuesday, April 2 when the Sabres host the Washington Capitals at KeyBank Center.
Join the Sabres as they keep the Dyngus Day celebrations going with a night honoring Polish-American culture and traditions in the Dyngus Day capital of the world.
The first 5,000 fans in attendance for the game will receive a Sabres Dyngus Day-themed koozie.
Ahead of the game, two floats from Monday’s Dyngus Day parade in Buffalo will be located in the plaza before fans head inside near the ticket office for pregame polka entertainment, including the Forgotten Buffalo Orchestra Band and the Krakowiacy dance troupe. There will also be a Dyngus Day-themed 360 Fan Cam and a 3-D Balloon Butter Lamb located in the Blue Zone for special photo opportunities.
The polka music will continue inside the arena bowl as "The Polka Boyz" band will perform pregame and during the intermissions.
Throughout the night, fans can enjoy a special Polish sausage topped with pierogi ingredients, which will be available at the 100-level Broadway Sausage and Perry Market. "The Dyngus" will feature a grilled Polish sausage, topped with bacon, potato, sauteed onions, farmers cheese, sour cream, and will be served with chips.
Sabres Dyngus Day-themed merchandise will be available for purchase in the Sabres store.
