The Buffalo Sabres have acquired a fourth-round pick in the 2025 NHL Draft from the Anaheim Ducks in exchange for defenseman Ilya Lyubushkin, the team announced Friday night.
Lyubushkin, 29, signed a two-year contract with the Sabres on July 13, 2022. In 68 games last season, he scored two goals and recorded 14 points, including a shorthanded overtime winner against the Lightning in February.

The native of Moscow, Russia has 39 points (5+34) in 279 career games with Buffalo, Toronto and Arizona.
The Sabres are now set to select nine times in 2025, including twice in the fourth round and twice in the seventh round. The 2025 fourth-round pick Buffalo is receiving was previously acquired by Anaheim in the deal that sent John Klingberg to the Minnesota Wild.
