All donors will have the opportunity to greet Sabres alumni and Sabretooth throughout the event. Presenting donors will also be eligible for a Sabres ticket raffle, in which Unyts will raffle off 500 tickets to upcoming Sabres games. Any donor who refers a friend will receive the opportunity to join Sabres head coach Dan Bylsma for a guided tour of KeyBank Center at a later date.
"Unyts is the primary supplier of blood products for over 60 percent of the WNY community and it is our responsibility to ensure that there is locally donated product to help save local lives every day," said Mark J. Simon, President and CEO of Unyts. "We are honored to call the Buffalo Sabres a partner in furthering the Gift of Life, and we look forward to working with them on Feb. 13."
Any interested donors who are unable to attend the KeyBank Center event are encouraged to donate at any Unyts Neighborhood Donation Center. Community members who donate between Saturday, Feb. 11 and Thursday, Feb. 16 will also be eligible for the ticket giveaway and "refer-a-friend" opportunities. To make an appointment, call (716) 512-7940 or visit www.unyts.org/TeamUnyts. Walk-ins are also welcome. Donors should bring their photo ID and must be 17 years of age or older. Those 16 years of age may donate blood with parental consent.

About Unyts:
Unyts is among the leading organ procurement organizations in the United States, and is one of only eight centers nationwide to house organ, eye, tissue and eye procurement in one location. With the addition of the Community Blood Service in 2007, Unyts became the only organization of its kind nationwide. It works to assist donor families, coordinate the donation process and increase knowledge and awareness regarding organ, eye, tissue and blood donation across WNY. Unyts' commitment is to enhance and save lives through organ, eye, tissue and blood donation while maintaining respect for those who give the Gift of Life.
