NASHVILLE - Fact: The Buffalo Sabres almost never lose when Jack Eichel records two or more points in a game. Entering Tuesday night's match against the Nashville Predators at Bridgestone Arena, the Buffalo Sabres were 14-3-1 all time in games in which the sophomore center has posted at least two points.
Fact: After Tuesday night's game, that record improved to 15-3-1, an .816 win percentage.
Eichel scored twice, including the overtime winner in Buffalo's 5-4 victory over Nashville. It marked the team's third-straight overtime win as well. Winning three consecutive post-regulation games has only happened once before in franchise history: November 5, 10 and 11, 2006 when Buffalo won all three of those games in overtime.
Zemgus Girgensons, Brian Gionta and Kyle Okposo also scored for the Sabres. Robin Lehner made 35 saves in the winning effort.
