Cozens, drafted by the Sabres with the seventh-overall pick in the 2019 NHL Draft, helped lead Canada to a gold medal at the 2020 World Junior Championship. The forward from the Yukon compiled two goals and seven assists in seven contests, including the team's first goal in the championship game. Cozens is one of six players from last year's championship team invited to the camp.
With the Lethbridge Hurricanes of the WHL last season, Cozens was named the Eastern Conference Player of the Year after posting 85 points (38+47) in only 51 games. He was also announced as a finalist for the Four Broncos Memorial Trophy, awarded annually to the league's player of the year.
