20221216 Biro Mediawall Amerks Update

Brandon Biro returned to the Amerks lineup on December 1 after missing six games due to injury, and hasn't missed a beat. In the five games he's played since, he's posted seven points, including three multi-point efforts to put himself back atop the team's scoring leaderboard with 19 points in 17 games.
He hasn't gone consecutive games without a point this season and he leads the team with seven multi-point contests.
The Amerks are in Charlotte tonight where they open up a back-to-back set against the Checkers.

Faceoff from Bojangles Colsieum is set for 7 p.m. on AHLTV and The Sports Leader 95.7 FM/950 AM in Rochester. The teams will go at it again on Saturday at 6 p.m.
Rochester's next home game is Friday, December 23 against Syracuse.

Tonight's matchup

Over the past two seasons, the home team has won three of the four matchups between Rochester and Charlotte.
Rochester enters the weekend's contests with a 2-10-0 record against the Checkers since the start of the 2018-19 campaign. The Amerks are searching for their first win in Charlotte since earning a 4-1 victory back on January 20, 2018.
"They're a very good line rush team. They're very good in the offensive zone. All their analytic numbers offensively are very strong. Their numbers defensively are a little less than that," Amerks coach Seth Appert said.
"They put you in a lot of uncomfortable positions. We're going to need to be good defensively. We need to manage the puck and prevent them from getting on as many line rushes as they seem to get on in most of the games we've watched them."
