Starting April 13, "Sabres Classics" will feature games from the 2006 Eastern Conference Semifinals between the Buffalo Sabres and the Ottawa Senators.
The Sabres went 3-5-0 against the regular season against the Senators, but won the final two matchups of the season. Their last bout before the playoffs saw Daniel Briere score in the final minute of regulation to tie the game and then in the final minute of overtime to win the game.
And coming off of their first-round series victory over the Flyers, the stage was set for Game 1 in Ottawa.
Each weeknight, we'll revisit Buffalo's four wins in the series at 8 p.m. on MSG and on the MSG Go app. Catch the games on a special Sabres Classic Games video channel on NHL.com the next day as well.
On Friday, check out "Sabres Legends," an hour-long special honoring the Knox Brothers, Rick Jeanneret and Ted Darling.
