Sabres extend qualifying offers to Murray, Weissbach
Unrestricted free agency opens on Saturday at noon

The Buffalo Sabres have extended qualifying offers to forwards Brett Murray and Linus Weissbach.
Both players were pending restricted free agents.
In 21 NHL games, Murray, 24, has recorded two goals and six assists. He posted 49 points (23+26) in 71 games for the Rochester Americans last season. He was originally selected by Buffalo in the fourth round of the 2016 NHL Draft.
Weissbach has compiled 84 points in 136 games over the last two seasons in Rochester. The 2017 seventh-round pick scored 20 goals for the Amerks in 2022-23.
Unrestricted free agency opens on Saturday at noon.
