The Sabres tallied a season-high 43 shots but fell to the Tampa Bay Lightning, 5-3, in their second and final game of the NHL Global Series at Ericsson Globe in Stockholm, Sweden on Saturday.
Sam Reinhart, Victor Olofsson, and Jack Eichel scored goals for the Sabres. Carter Hutton made 35 saves.
Patrick Maroon scored twice for the Lightning. Victor Hedman, Yanni Gourde, and Mathieu Joseph also added goals, while Curtis McElhinney made 40 saves.
