Boston College defenseman Casey Fitzgerald (2016, third round) came through for his team Sunday, scoring a pair of goals, including the game-winner 69 seconds into overtime, to guide the Eagles to a 4-3 come-from-behind victory over Providence.

Fitzgerald notched his first goal of the year at 10:26 of the middle frame when he took a pass in the left circle and buried his shot to cut the Eagles' deficit to 3-2.
After the Eagles forced overtime, Fitzgerald quickly ended the session with a bar-down shot to secure the road victory.
Fitzgerald, who posted his second career-two goal game (the last one came on Oct. 22, 2016, at Holy Cross), has three points and six shots on goal through the club's first three contests.
Monday morning, he was named Hockey East Defensive Player of the Week.

Fitzgerald's teammate, junior forward Christopher Brown (2014, sixth round), assisted on the overtime tally Sunday for his first point of the season. Brown, one of three team captains along with Fitzgerald, has four shots on goal and an even rating to go along with his helper through three games.
Both Fitzgerald and Brown logged minus-2 ratings Friday as Boston College began the week with a 5-2 loss to Wisconsin.

NCAA

Casey Mittelstadt (2017, first round) went to the net and redirected a point shot for the game's opening goal Sunday as Minnesota doubled Penn State 6-3 to earn the split of the weekend Big Ten Hockey conference series.

On Friday, Mittlestadt produced four shots on goal as the Gophers opened the weekend with a 3-1 loss to Penn State. Through his first four collegiate contents, Mittlestadt has two goals, three points and a team-best 13 shots on goal.
Penn State winger Brett Murray (2016, fourth round) finished the weekend with an even rating in the Big Ten split at Minnesota.
Murray has appeared in all four regular season games for the Nittany Lions, notching one shot on goal while still seeking his first point.
Providence defenseman Jacob Bryson (2017, fourth round) finished with an even rating and one shot on goal Sunday as in the Friars 4-3 overtime loss to Boston College. Bryson has a pair of helpers in three games.
Freshman winger Linus Weissbach (2017, seventh round) gained the zone and set up the game's first goal Friday as Wisconsin defeated Boston College 5-2.
Weissbach was unable to connect the following night as the Badgers completed the road trip with a 4-1 win at Merrimack. Weissbach has his collegiate career off to a nice start with two goals - including one game-winner - and four total points in five games.
Judd Peterson (2012, seventh round) netted a pair of assists in a 6-3 win on Friday, and assisted on the game-winning goal Saturday as St. Cloud State earned the weekend sweep of Alaska Fairbanks with a 5-4 overtime triumph.
Peterson has a team-high four helpers through the first four games of the season.
Junior defenseman William Borgen (2015, fourth round) picked up one assist Friday, and provided three shots on goal the following night as St. Cloud State swept Alaska Fairbanks by scores of 6-3 and 5-4.
Borgen has two points (0+2) in four games.

Connecticut defenseman Philip Nyberg (2016, fifth round) suffered a lower-body injury in the first game of the season two weeks ago and has not returned to action.
Brown forward Maxwell Willman (2014, fifth round) has been practicing in preparation for the team's first game of the season Oct. 27 at Yale.

Europe

In Sweden, Rasmus Asplund (2016, second round) went without a point in both games last week as Farjestad BK earned a pair of 4-2 victories over Djurgarden IF and HV 71.
Asplund is tied for seventh in team scoring with six points (3+3) in nine games.
Sniping winger Victor Olofsson (2014, seventh round) could not connect on any of his five shots on goal last week as Frolunda HC dropped a 3-1 decision to HV 71 on Thursday before rebounding Saturday with a 3-2 win at Linkoping HC.
In eight SHL contests, Olofsson has collected a pair of power play goals and one assist.
On Tuesday, Olofsson picked up an assist in a 3-1 Champions League victory over Gap Rapaces to give him six points (3+3) in six tournament games.
Djurgarden IF centerman Marcus Davidsson (2017, second round) took a long stretch pass and quickly fed a streaking winger for a goal Thursday in his team's 4-2 loss to Farjestad BK.
Davidsson recorded an assist for the second-straight game Saturday as Djurgarden smoked Mora 6-0.
The third-line forward now has points in back-to-back games for the second time in his SHL career.

In Finland, LeKi goaltender Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen (2017, second round) made 42 saves Wednesday in a 5-1 loss to Kiekko-Vantaa.
Luukkonen was back in net Friday, making another 27 stops in a 6-5 loss to Kettera. The 18-year-old backstop made his sixth consecutive start Saturday, stopping 33 shots as LeKi downed Roki 5-4.
The win improves Luukkonen to 5-2 on the year with a 3.12 goals-against average and a .909 save percentage.
Top-pair defenseman Oskari Laaksonen (2017, third round) set up a goal Friday and failed to convert his shootout attempt as Ilves U20 defeated Pelicans 3-2.
Laaksonen logged 23:32 of action as Ilves U20 edged SaiPa 3-2 on Saturday, and finished the week Sunday with another haul of 21:38 in a 6-2 loss to HPK.
Through 17 games, Laaksonen has seven points (1+6) and a minus-4 rating.

OHL

After going without a point in Wednesday's 3-1 loss to Windsor, London forward Cliff Pu (2016, third round) ended his seven-game goal drought Friday with his first of the year as the Knights dropped a 2-1 decision to the Spitfires.

Pu, who completed the week with a minus-3 rating in a 4-3 overtime loss to Owen Sound, has four points (1+3) and a minus-13 rating in nine games for a Knights squad that has lost eight straight.
Austin Osmanski (2016, seventh round) recorded an assist in his Peterborough debut Friday as the Petes cruised to a 7-3 win over North Bay.
Osmanski was blanked in a 2-1 win over Kingston on Thursday, but got back on track the following night with his first goal of the year and fifth of his OHL career as Peterborough posted a 3-2 shootout victory at Kingston.

On Saturday, Osmanski picked up an assist in the Petes' 6-3 win over Sudbury, leaving the defender with four points through nine games.

WHL

Red Deer winger Brandon Hagel (2016, sixth round), who was unable to get a point Tuesday as the Rebels defeated Everett 4-1, recorded three assists Friday in a 5-4 triumph over Kootenay.
Hagel assisted on Red Deer's lone goal Saturday in the Rebels' 4-1 loss to Saskatoon to give him 12 points (3+9) through nine contests.
Prince Albert defenseman Vojtech Budik (2016, fifth round) notched one assist last week as the Raiders dropped all three games played.
Through nine games, Budik has one goals and two assists.

QMJHL

Vasily Glotov (2016, seventh round) connected for his second goal of the year Friday as Shawinigan doubled Victoriaville 6-3.

Glotov kept it going Saturday, connecting for a pair of helpers as the Cataractes got past Victoriaville 4-2.
Glotov, who now has points in consecutive games for the first time this season, has two goals and four assists at the 10-game mark.
