The Buffalo Sabres have signed forward J-J Peterka to a three-year, entry-level contract, the team announced Friday. Peterka, 19, was selected by Buffalo in the second round (34th overall) of the 2020 NHL Draft.

Embedded Episode 3 - Becoming a Sabre: 2020 NHL Draft
The 5-foot-11, 192-pound native of Munich, Germany tallied 20 points (9+11) in 30 games with Red Bull München of the DEL in Germany last season, tying for sixth on the team in goals. He most recently represented his native country at the 2021 IIHF World Championship, where he scored one goal in six games.
He has appeared in two IIHF World Junior Championship tournaments as well. He recorded six points (4+2) in seven games in 2020 and 10 points (4+6) in five games in 2021, which tied for third in tournament scoring. Peterka made his professional debut at age 17 with Red Bull München in 2019-20, recording 11 points (7+4) in 42 DEL contests. Watch: Youtube Video
