2023 Hockey Fights Cancer Honoree
Meet our 2023 Hockey Fights Cancer honoree, Sophia LaBorde, who was diagnosed with an extremely rare form of liver cancer at age 12 in 2022 and remains in treatment at Roswell Park after enduring several rounds of chemotherapy and having her tumor surgically removed. Despite an uncertain road ahead, Sophia's strength and determination has inspired her parents Alicia and Derek, her favorite player Rasmus Dahlin, and her pediatric oncologist Dr. Ajay Gupta, who all marvel at her ability to celebrate life every day.
