On this day 25 years ago, the Buffalo Sabres selected goaltender Ryan Miller from Michigan State with the 138th overall pick in the 1999 NHL Draft.
Miller spent parts of 11 seasons with the Sabres from 2002-2014 and is the franchise's leader in games played by a goaltender (540), wins (284), and saves (14,847).
On January 19, 2023 Miller was inducted into the Sabres Hall of Fame and his #30 was raised into the rafters at KeyBank Center.
