Welcome to the Gameday Blog, the one-stop shop for San Jose Sharks fans on every gameday. This blog will be updated throughout the day with news, lineup information, videos, and tweets, so be sure to check back as the day goes on.
Tonight the Sharks continue their road trip in Tampa Bay to take on the Lightning. The Sharks are coming off a hard-fought 2-1 win over the Florida Panthers last night, one that saw two goal reviews go their way (some may remember that the opposite was true the last time the two teams met).
Joe Pavelski finally got the monkey off his back, score his first goal in a month and his 300th career marker. He's only the second player in franchise history to reach that milestone, and only the fourth player to be drafted 205th or later to do so. Chris Tierney also scored in the winning effort, on a goal that wasn't initially caught by the officials.
While the Sharks are entering the second half of back-to-backs, the Lightning have not played since Wednesday, giving a tough test to the road team. However, the Sharks have been playing well, as evidenced by their three game win streak.
Nothing was confirmed by head coach Peter DeBoer on which goaltender would be starting tonight, it would make sense that Martin Jones returns to the net after being healthy enough to backup last night.
Keep an eye on this blog throughout the day as we get more information about the lineup decisions.
