Welcome to the Gameday Blog, the one-stop shop for San Jose Sharks fans on every gameday. This blog will be updated throughout the day with news, lineup information, videos, and tweets, so be sure to check back as the day goes on.
After completing an epic comeback for arguably the biggest win of the season, the Sharks now host the Ottawa Senators for the second game of their three game homestand. This is also the sixth game in a row the Sharks face an opponent from the Eastern Conference, a streak that will be broken tomorrow night against the Wild.
While the Sharks are coming off a dramatic overtime win, the Senators are coming off of a dramatic overtime loss to the Los Angeles Kings. Down 3-2 in the third, the Senators managed to tie the game with 10 seconds left to send it to overtime, only to fall in the extra frame.
Tonight the Sharks get Brenden Dillon back from his one game suspension, meaning that one defenseman (or - less likely - a forward) will be scratched tonight. The final decision will likely be announced at morning skate, so be sure to check back in for more news later in the day.

It's Marvel Night presented by Solar4America at the Tank tonight, which means plenty of superhero-themed imagery will be prevalent throughout the game - including a special Captain Joe Pavelski bobblehead giveaway.

Neither Paul Martin nor Barclay Goodrow were at morning skate this morning for the Sharks. Head coach Peter DeBoer revealed to the media that Goodrow suffered a lower body injury and will be out for the next week or so, while Paul Martin has been sent to the AHL's San Jose Barracuda for a conditioning stint.
In addition, Ryan Carpenter, Tim Heed, and Brenden Dillon are all back in the lineup. Heed returns from Injured Reserve, while Dillon returns from serving a one game suspension.
