Agozzino, 31, appeared in 66 games with the Belleville Senators of the American Hockey League, recording 43 points (20 goals, 23 assists) and 61 penalty minutes. Agozzino ranked tied for first on the club in goals and shots, and was third in assists. He also appeared in one contest for the Ottawa Senators.
Over the course of his professional career, Agozzino has appeared in 47 NHL games, scoring nine points (two goals, seven assists) with the Colorado Avalanche, Pittsburgh Penguins, Anaheim Ducks and Ottawa. In the AHL, he has appeared in 601 games, recording 455 points (193 goals, 262 assists) and was named an AHL All-Star three times (2012-13, 2018-19, 2019-20). In 19 AHL postseason games, Agozzino collected 16 points (nine goals, seven assists) in 19 games.
Prior to his professional career, he played five seasons for the Niagara IceDogs in the Ontario Hockey League, scoring 306 points (159 goals, 147 assists) in 318 games. During the 2011-12 season, he was named the OHL Overage Player of the Year and was named to the OHL Third All-Star team. He also was awarded the Mickey Renaud Captains Trophy, given to the OHL team captain that best exemplifies leadership on and off the ice, with a passion and dedication to the game of hockey and his community.
The five-foot-ten, 187-pound forward was originally signed by Colorado as a free agent on May 13, 2013.
